Son Lumiere et Magie, a magical night of sound and light

A record-breaking 380 members, guests and sponsors attended the 23rd Annual Gala Dinner of the Swiss Business Association of Singapore on Saturday, 24th March 2012. Staged at the Swiss Club’s sports hall to accommodate the overwhelmed respond. The evening’s theme, ‘A Magical Night of Sound and Light’, set the tone for what was to be a unique, fabulous evening glittered with music, entertainment and magic. Presenting sponsors – Audi, graced this year’s event, guests were greeted by the newly launched Audi A5 at the entrance and was promptly treated to an evening of magnificent. Excellent gourmet by Swiss Club, were adeptly served by young talents from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), as part of a local hospitality project. We have yet again, the lovely Anita Kapoor to add glitz and glamour, rousing the crowd as host, together with entertainers of repute, were specially flown in from France, magician extraordinaire Omar Pasha, from Canada Michel Lauzière, man of many talents and from UK, magic man Lawrence Sullivan. International performer DJ Mr. Milke, whom base in Switzerland were invited to wow the crowd with masterful wizardry and progressive upbeat tunes throughout the night.

The Caran d’Ache awards (with prizes worth close to S$2000 each) were, as always, a highlight. Three lucky guests were prompted to participate in a dare — ‘William Tell’, having to be targets for talent man, Michel Lauzière. Guests also had a chance to snag prizes from Beschle Chocolatier Suisse and close to S$40,000 worth of lucky draw.

The gala dinner was a classic showcase of world class entertainment by events architect Mr Claude Verly and his team in art-management.com. and culinary expertise by Swiss Club chefs lead by Club Manager Mr Heinz Iten. it is one occasion that Christian Pauli, Chairman of the SBA, and his fellow committee members will undoubtedly be proud of.
